CHARLES R. MURPHY, age 81 of North Canton, passed away Thursday morning. Born in Canton to the late Fred and Mildred (Robart) Murphy he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria (Fogle) Murphy and brothers Jack, Richard and Harold. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Charles was a pipefitter, retiring from Republic Steel in 1977 and from Ziegler Bolt and Nut in 1990. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Sally of Punta Gorda, FL, David and Ramona of Parrish, FL, Robert and Lori of Dunedin, FL, Richard and Abby of Myakka City, FL, Larry and Natalie of North Canton, 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers and sisters-in-law Darrel and Dini Murphy of Louisville, Carmen and Bernice Petrack of North Canton, sister Donna Coston of Canton. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8:00 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton with Rev. Fr. Jeff Stealey celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
