CLEO M. VITALE, age 83 of Canton, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 29, 1929 in Antrim, Ohio to the late Oscar and Bertha (Clutter) McMillen. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Vitale on June 25, 2013. Cleo graduated from Madison High School in 1947 and moved to Canton shortly there after to work for the Timken Company. It was in Canton that she met the love of her life, Jim Vitale. They were married on February 26, 1949. Her life's passion was her family. She was dedicated to taking care of Jim and their children. Cleo was the co-owner of The Wise Owl for 20 years, and an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is once again with the love of her life Jim Vitale with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Fran and Bob Figurella, Lee and Missey Vitale, grandchildren Matt (Diana) Franta, Jennifer Franta, Angie (Dan) Conley, Katie (Andy) Lloyd, Julia Vitale, great-grandchildren Jimmy Franta, Sofia and Hannah Conley, Layla and Farrah Lloyd and sister Lois Laughman. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Grossman, the nurses, aids and staff of Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their exceptional care, kind and loving support during a very difficult time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Cleo's name may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
