Obituary

Craig D. Wagner, age 70 of Canton, passed away peacefully on Saturday. Born in Canton to the late Helen (Santora) and Jack Wagner, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Kaye Dovidio. He grew up in North Canton where he formed many life-long friendships. A graduate of North Canton Hoover High School, Craig was a 1971 graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in education. He was a teacher in the Plain Local School district. He was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church. Craig was selfless to a fault, young at heart, wise, kind and caring. Craig had a certain charisma that drew people to him and a wit that was engaging. He fiercely loved his family and friends and placed them before all else. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all those that were fortunate enough to have had him in their lives. Craig is survived by his brother-in- law George Dovidio, nephew Christopher (Lynette) Dovidio and their son Georgio (who was his greatest joy), uncle Joseph Meola, cousins John (Melissa) Meola, David (Rita) Gambone, Angela (Shawn) Hudson, Tiffany (Daniel) Rooney and their families. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 am to noon at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian burial to follow, Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski celebrant. Entombment will be in Northlawn Cemetery.
