DANIEL C. CHEEZAN, JR., age 55 of Canton, passed away suddenly on Sunday at Alliance Community Hospital. A life resident of the Canton area, Dan was a member of St. Louis Catholic Parish and a 1977 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He was employed with the Boy Scouts of America Buckeye Council. Dan was active in scouting for 45 years in many capacities, serving on many committees and as Scoutmaster and Campmaster. He earned the Eagle Scout Award, 5 ^th year Pipestone and Order of the Arrow. Dan was a good hearted, friendly man who loved his family and was happiest doing things with them. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel C. Cheezan, Sr. Dan is survived by his mother Maria (Cosentino) Cheezan of Louisville, children Shaun Cheezan, Ashley Cheezan, Daniel C. Cheezan III all of Canton, granddaughter Karen Marie Cheezan, brothers and sister-in-law Frank Cheezan of Louisville, David J. and Karen Cheezan of Wauseon, Ohio, and nephews Michael, Anthony and Nicholas Cheezan. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am at St. Louis Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Larry Frient, celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Buckeye Council.
