Daniel A. Rex age 71 of Canton, passed away Saturday morning. Born in Canton to the late Daniel C. and Mary (Gaone) Rex, he was preceded in death by his sister Toni Marie Rex. Daniel was a 1966 graduate of Perry High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Timken Steel Company after 30 years of service. Daniel is survived by his children Carrie (Patrick) Ritchey, Joseph D. (Heidi) Rex, Dannielle (Scott) Hein, eight grandchildren; Nicholas, Rachel, Sarah, Emma, Caleb, Isaac, Joseph, Abigail, and sister Donna (Bob) McKenzie. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 9 to 10 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 10. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
