MASSILLON - Danny Sparks, 74, passed away on August 7, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Danny was born February 18, 1950 in Canton, Ohio to Newton and Lucille (Calhoun) Sparks. Danny graduated from Canton South High School in 1968. He retired from Diebold after 33 years of service in Engineering, and continued his career at LaGard as a Regional Sales Manager.

Danny enjoyed fishing, detailing cars, yard work, playing cards, and watching the Indians, Browns and the Buckeyes. Nothing made him happier than coaching his sons and being Papo to his two granddaughters.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Newton & Lucille Sparks and in-laws James & Carmel DiGiacomo. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Regina (DiGiacomo); sons James and David Sparks; granddaughters Kamryn and Kendyl Sparks; sister Carolyn (Tom) Jones; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Annette & Gary Hand; nieces Carmalee (Rick) Hand-Cannane and Bethany (Tim) Baughman; nephews Gary (Emily) Hand, Jr. and Stephen Jones; as well as great nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Dr. Thomas Jones officiating. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
