David Alan Addington age 61 of Canton, passed away Sunday evening. Born in Canton to the late Paul E. Sr. and Ann(Miller) Addington, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul E. Addington Jr. David was a 1979 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. He was an avid Bulldog and sports fan. He enjoyed helping as an assistant coach for Little League football and baseball. David was a proud Marine Corp veteran. He was employed with the Multi-County Juvenile Detention System for 23 years before retirement. David then worked as a home health care worker helping developmentally disabled adults. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Carol (Villella) Addington, sons Jarrod Addington (fiancee' Asia), Joseph Addington, granddaughter Liyla Addington, brother Robert "Dusty" (Karen) Addington, sisters Pam (Tim) Bailey, and Diane (Bill) Bracken. Family and friends will be received on Monday at the Rossi Family Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm with services to follow at 7:00 pm. He will be inurned in Forest Hill Cemetery on Thursday at 1:30 pm with full military honors. For those who wish, donations may be made to Aultman Hospice.
