David Lee Adkins, age 79 of Canton, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born on September 10, 1938 to the late William and Florence (Greene) Adkins. David was a Canton McKinley High School graduate; he was then employed by Union Metal. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Adkins, sister Jean Adkins and son-in-law John Digiantonio. David is survived by his children Mark Adkins, Tim (Jane) Adkins and Kimberly Digiantonio; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday at the Rossi Family Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Louanne Zakaski. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Dinner will follow at Faith Bible Church (6655 Firestone Ave. N.E. Canton, OH 44721). In lieu of flowers, donations may be may be made to the Salvation Army.
