David A. Ison, age 70 of Louisville, passed away at home on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born in Canton on December 1, 1954 to the late John and Bernice (Bowman) Ison. A 1972 graduate of Timken High School, he later retired from the Timken Company in 2013, after 39 years and 9 months of employment. David had many interests in life, including riding his Harley's, playing golf, working puzzles, and tooling around in his new Corvette.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Darel, and Donald, and baby brother Gary. David is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Darlene (Wuske) Ison; children David (Jen) Ison of Canton, Mike (Stacey) Ison of Alliance, and Stefanie (Craig) Knouff of Paris; grandchildren Devan, Merina, and Dustyn; three great-grandchildren; and siblings Linda (John) Lilly and Jim (Kathy) Riley. Also survived by grand-pups and Sammy the cat.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Web Parsons officiating. Entombment to follow in North Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
