David R. Pelfrey, Sr., age 58 of Canton, passed away early Saturday morning at home surrounded by his loving family. A life resident of Canton, David was a graduate of Glen Oak High School. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs, but especially loved watching his grandsons play for the Eagles Elite baseball team. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kayla Henry, father-in-law and mother-in-law Ivan and Rita Ray. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Jeannette (Ray) Pelfrey, sons David Jr., Christopher (Santanna), Brian (Tami), Timothy (Megan), nine grandchildren; Brian Jr., Brandon, Braylon, Bionca, Ariana, Christopher Jr., Braylon, Braxton and Avery. Dave loved his family beyond words. He enjoyed practicing baseball with his grandsons and going to their games to watch them play. He enjoyed all of his grandchildren beyond words. He was a guy that would do anything for his wife and sons. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, services to follow at 2:00 pm, Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Internment will be in CALVARY Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
