David Shaheen of Canton, Ohio died on July 18, 2015. He was born in Canton on April 23, 1925 to the late Moses D. and Selma D. Shaheen. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served in Guadalcanal. Later he became a sales representative for Miss Elaine in the Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky areas. A member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, he was also a member of the Order of St. Ignatius. His survivors include his brother Robert (Patricia) Shaheen of Boca Raton, Florida, and sisters Bea S. McPherson of Hartville, Ohio, and Tess Azar of New York, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Nellie Joseph and Anna D. Shaheen and brothers, John D. Shaheen, Richard D. Shaheen, and Charles D. Shaheen, all of Canton. Calling hours will be at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church on Thursday at 10:00 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am with Father Basil Shaheen officiating.
