Deanna J. Fonte (Pelyak), age 85 of Canton, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. She was born in Columbus on March 27, 1938 and lived in Lore City, Magnolia and Canton, Ohio. She was a 1956 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg, where she sang in the choir for many years. Deanna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a great cook who hosted many Sunday and Holiday dinners. She also enjoyed visiting with neighbors, participating in her bowling leagues and caring for her dog, Tiny.

Deanna was preceded in death by her mother, Ann (Pelyak), Joe Kisela and daughter-in-law, Carla Fonte. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank Fonte; children Theresa (Darrell) Gooding, Leisa (Bob) Robinson, Frank (Vicki) Fonte, and Mark (Angie) Fonte; grandchildren Vincent, Jordan, Chase, Cole, Will, Anna, and Jason (Lainy).

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin immediately afterwards.
