July 27, 1931 – January 6, 2017
Della (Ginella) Vara, age 85 of Canton, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. Born to the late Stephen and Adeline Ginella in Peapack, New Jersey, she was a graduate of McKinley High School. Della was self-employed in the field of Electrolysis, where she practiced for many years. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, the Eagles, and Lady Elks. Della was an avid golfer, enjoyed vacationing in Florida, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Brendlen and second husband Frank Vara; niece Paula (Ginella) Milano; and nephew John Span. She is survived by her brother Stephen (Pauline) Ginella; nieces Stephanie Span and Patti (Dan) Joliat; nephews Stephen (Charity) Ginella, Jr., Michael (Lisa) Ginella, and Steve (Dawn) Milano; 9 great-nieces and nephews, and 5 great-great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Little Flower Catholic Church. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at the Inn at University and Absolute Hospice for their care and support.
