Delores M. Perez January 13, 1943 - December 8, 2024

MADISON - Delores M. Perez, age 81, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. She was born on January 13, 1943, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Manuel and Angelina Garcia.

Delores graduated from Timken High School in Canton, Ohio, in 1961. She married John Perez in Canton, Ohio, on October 27, 1961. Delores worked as an accountant for General Machine, Tool and Die company in Milwaukee. She also owned and operated a holiday store, House of Holidays, for several years.

Delores started the Social Committee at The Crossings in Fitchburg and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Delores was a good cook and enjoyed reading. She loved playing many games, especially Euchre and Pinochle, as well as Mojang. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She traveled with her husband all around the world and enjoyed dancing and throwing a good party.

Delores is survived by her husband of 63 years, John; daughters, Dee Dee (Todd) Stetzer and Danielle (Dan) Beckius; grandchildren, ElizaBeth Chase, Douglas (Megan) Stetzer, Joseph (Shaunna) Stetzer and Kurt Stetzer; great-grandchildren, Liam Chase, Eli Chase, Scarlett Stetzer and Sofia Stetzer; sisters, Anita Petry and Mercedes (Denny) Winters; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Angelina; and brother, John Garcia.

A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, and also at the ROSSI FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 730 30th St. N.W. Canton, Ohio, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Interment will follow at CALVARY CEMETERY, 3469 Lincoln Way E., Massillon, Ohio on Saturday.

Memorials may be gifted in Delores's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
