DESSY "DESPINA" SIDEROPOULOS, age 87 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Kavala, Greece to the late George and Efthalia (Papadopoulos) Ilvanakis she was preceded in death by her husband George Sideropoulos, brother Theodoros Ilvanakis and sister Marika Pappas. Dessy came to Canton in 1950 as the bride of George Sideropoulos. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Koraes Ladies Society. She is survived by her children Theodosia and husband Michael Spewock of Hollidaysburg, PA, Lester Sideropoulos of Knoxville, TN, Thalia Sideropoulos of Daytona Beach Shores, FL, grandson George Sideropoulos, brothers and sister-in-law Gus and Maria Ilvanakis and Savas Ilvanakis all of Bellingham, WA. Friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11, Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
