Diana Recchio passed away at her home April 12. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1971 and from Bowling Green University in 1975, Summa Cum Laude. She was employed by Barthel's Garden Center where she worked for many years. Diana was truly a creative person. She loved her plants and her flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Tiki. She will be terribly missed by her niece and best friend, Barbie. They shared many good times over the last 62 years. Diana was a strong and independent woman. She fought her cancer with dignity and courage, but it wasn't meant to be. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Palma Recchio, her sister, Theresa Devies and her nephew Jim Costello. She is survived by her sister Rae Whitacre, her brother Frank Recchio, nephew Tony Costello, nieces Barbara (Costello) Thomas, Carol (Costello) Snyder, special friend Pat Southworth, and her little dog, Tiki. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 9 to 11 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 11:00, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Diana's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish.
