Dionysoula "Denise" Armatas. Dionysoula passed away on April 30, 2024. She was born July 29, 1929 in Lefkada, Greece, where she met and married her husband Alexander Armatas in 1958. They emigrated from Greece to the U.S. and settled in Canton to join other relatives from the Armatas family.

Dionysoula is preceded in death by her parents, Dimitrios and Aspasia Gligoris, her husband of 56 years Alexander E. Armatas, her son Steven A. Armatas from Canton, her four brothers, Apostolis, Nikolaos, Antonios and Spiros, and a sister, Maria all in Greece.

She was a housewife who adored her son. She dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed gardening. Dionysoula was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.

Family and friends will be received at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Funeral services to begin at 11 A.M. in the church, with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
