Obituary

Dolores E. Noussias

Dolores, also known as Lorrie, started life with a bang. She was the first baby girl born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1941 to her parents, Stanley and Eleanor Hojenski. That happy event came with a newspaper article, photo, and lots of attention. She enjoyed telling humorous stories of her childhood. But it was in her early adult years when she yearned to spread her wings, to fly, to seek adventure. That opportunity came when she met and later married her husband, Harry. Together they traveled across the country and other countries fulfilling her dream. They drove high upon the mountains, deep into the valleys, and across scorching deserts. They took romantic walks on California beaches, swam in the Caribbean Sea, got drenched from the mist of Niagara Falls, and fell ever deeper in love. Aside from living a short while in Los Angeles with Harry, Dolores was a lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio. She worked for several companies in both hourly and management positions. After the birth of her daughter, Melina, she decided to be a full-time mother and raise her child in a traditional manner. Her family was the most important part of her life. She passed away on February 16, 2023, leaving a void in the hearts of those close to her. If only fate had given us just a little more time to spend together to feel her tender touch, to share the twilight's colorful sky, to gaze into her sparkling blue eyes, to see her bright smile, to enjoy quiet days and gentle nights together, and cherish the warmth of her love. Dolores has blessed us with many pleasant memories. She gave a precious parting gift when she spoke her final words to Harry saying, "I love you". To those who knew her she will be very dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Harry; her daughter, Melina Druga; her son-in-law , John Druga, her granddaughter Katherine Druga; and numerous extended family members. Her final resting place is a Forest Hill Cemetery.
