Domenico "The Tailor" Maricocchi, age 83 of Canton, passed away early Tuesday morning to be reunited with his wife once again . Born in Pescara Del Tronto, Providence of Ascolipicno, Italy to the late Antonio and Domenica (Piciacchia) Maricocchi, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Frances (Pusateri) and brothers Francesco and Sergio Maricocchi. Domenic came to America in 1957 and has lived in Canton for 58 years. He was the owner of Domenico The Tailor clothing shop in the downtown area for over 40 years and loved being around people and his customers. He was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, Canton Eagles, North Canton Elks, Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628 and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Lodge #341. Domenic had many loves in his lifetime, but his greatest were his wife, family and tailoring for the good people of Canton. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his loved ones in heaven. Domenic is survived by his sister Giovanna Maricocchi of Rome, Italy, sisters-in-law Caterina Maricocchi and Maria Maricocchi of Canton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 10 to 12 noon at St. Anthony Catholic Parish (1530 11th St. SE, Canton, OH) with a Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish.
