Dominic J. Campanaro ("Dino", "Dean"), age 84, passed away April, 30, 2016 at The Laurels of Massillon. Dino was born in Canton on December 29, 1931, the youngest child of Dan and Rose Campanaro. He was a 1949 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and proudly served in the US Army. He married Roma Schoeppner on October 2, 1954 and celebrated 46 years of marriage. He was a retired postal employee, a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and devoted many years of his life to the bingo program at Central Catholic High School in Canton. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Dino was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, sisters, Carmina Spera and Catherine Bush and brother, Michael Campanaro. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bill Morgan of Massillon, Dina and Bill Schweizer of Canton, Denise Campanaro of San Francisco, grandchildren, Krista Sands (Matthew), Jason Schweizer and Mandy Morgan of Canton, and Dean and Salvio Quatannens of San Francisco, great-grandchildren, William, Lucy and Gianna Sands and Carson Harbaugh of Canton, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, with interment following at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends will be received on Thursday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Michael's School at 3431 St. Michael's Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44718. The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Nash Gabrail and his staff and to the nurses and aides at The Laurels of Massillon for the loving care they provided to our father.
