Donald J. Boord, age 84 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. Don was born on July 14, 1939 to the late Lester and Sarah (Herman) Boord. He went to Fairmount School and Canton McKinley High School. Don served in the U.S. Army, and later retired from the Hoover Company as the Supervisor of Maintenance.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Glen Boord and step-son Bob Best. Don is survived by the love of his life, who he loved more than he did himself, Carol (Tomey) Boord; sons Brian Boord and Bob (Barb, who was considered another daughter to Don) Boord; daughter Amy (Roger) Roe; step-daughter Robin Best Welch; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Don's name, to the Wounded Warrior Project.
