It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Dustin Alan Zimmer on April 8, 2025. Born on February 29, 1992, Dustin was 33 years young.

Dustin resided in North Canton at the North East Developmental Services, Inc. (NDSI) group home, a place where he was deeply cared for and protected amongst a loving staff. A remarkable individual, Dustin received a life-saving liver transplant at the tender age of three, inspiring all through his perseverance.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Alan Zimmer, and his grandmothers, Meta Bopa Zimmer & Grace D. Stanko.

Dustin is survived by his mother, Susan Michelle Zimmer; his sister, Karen Lynn Zimmer; his aunts and uncles, Suzanne and Joe Meyer and Rodney and Kathy Zimmer and Matt Stanko, as well as numerous cherished cousins.

A proud graduate of Southgate School, Dustin also spent time working at Amore Services. He was well-known for his incredibly loving personality, his delightful sense of humor, and his undeniable fondness for Burger King.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to Larry Powell, owner of NDSI, as well as the staff and Amore for the dedicated love and care they provided to Dustin over the years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Dustin's name to a charity that supports individuals with disabilities.

Dustin's warm heart and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 2:00 pm in Forest Hill Cemetery.
