Edmund J. Costello, age 94 of Canton, passed away Friday, December 14, 2024. Born in Middlebranch, OH on July 21, 1930 to the late Vincenzo and Antoinette (Girardi) Costello, he was also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Costello; brothers Leonard and Anthony Costello; sisters Fermina Moore, Mary Destefano, and Arbenia "Arbie" Martino. Edmund attended Middlebranch High School and Canton McKinley High School. He worked at the Diamond Portland Cement Company before going to work at the Ford Motor Company, where he retired from after 20 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Edmund is survived by his brother Nick Costello, sisters Shirley Picone, Nancy Houck, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his nephew Jim Moore whom Ed relied on to manage his daily affairs after the passing of his wife, Barb, in January 2021.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Edmund's name may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
