EDWARD PAUL BALAUN, JR. 1929 - 2017 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Redwood Retirement Home in Napa, CA at the age of 88.  He was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Edward and Erma (Frank) Balaun.  Edward served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Edward graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Architecture.  He worked as an Architect in Canton, Ohio, the Los Angeles area, the Northern California area, and with the Veterans Home of California in Yountville.  Edward was a member of St. Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa, and many Civic and Catholic organizations, serving his church and community.  Edward is survived by many cousins in the Ohio area. Funeral service with full Military Honors took place at St. John's Cemetery in Canton, Ohio on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa or to the American Legion Honor Guard.
