Edward James
Dice, Jr.
February 4, 1949 – December 8, 2018
Edward James Dice, Jr., age 69 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born in Akron, Ohio on February 4, 1949 to the late Edward, Sr. and Rachel Dice. Edward was a Kenmore High School graduate; soon after he joined the U.S. Army, where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from IBM Corporation after 20 years, and continued to work for the next 22 years as the Owner and Operator of Video Stop. Edward was a member of the Kenmore High School Breakfast Club, the VFW Post 5047, and was a very proud American. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Dice. Edward is survived by his loving wife of over 37 years, Margaret Dee; children Kevin (Audra) Dice, and Amy (Stephen) Ross; and grandchildren Julia, Madison and Tyler Dice, and Erica Dawn Schrock. Also survived by sister Pat Saniga, and many nieces and nephews. Edward was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle who will be greatly missed by all. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home, with Pastor David Haydu officiating. An interment will be held in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, December 17 th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Cancer Society.
