Edward "Ed" P. Grimsley, age 61 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Canton on March 22, 1963 to the late Willard "Wiz" and Glenda (Goss) Grimsley. A 1980 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. After he went to the University of Akron for 5 years, where he played football and was team captain. Ed then went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts in 1987.

Ed was a former employee of Iron-workers local #550. Ed was an avid catholic, and strong in his beliefs. He enjoyed the outdoors, had a deep love for Florida and its beaches. Above all, he loved watching his grandsons grow up.

Ed was preceded in death by his father Willard "Wiz" Grimsley, brothers John and Willard "Popper" Grimsley. Ed is survived by his children Brandi Grimsley Kolsky (Cody Kolsky) of Delaware, Ohio and Edward C. Grimsley of Canton; grandchildren Elias and Aksel Kolsky. He is also survived by his Mother Glenda (Goss) Grimsley, and his siblings Kim Valentine, Jolene (Jeff) Neilson, Kristin (Scott) Kirby, Doug Grimsley, and Dan (Mary) Grimsley. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at Chateau Michele from 6 to 8 pm.
