Eleanor V. Franks, 90, a lifelong Canton resident, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Scridon. Eleanor was a seamstress who worked at Endress Cleaners before her marriage and ran a dressmaking and alterations business from her home until her retirement in 1974. Her sewing skills were appreciated by many individuals, businesses and her church, Bethel Temple Assembly of God. She is survived by daughters, Janet Little of Parkland, FL and Elayne Gooding of Wellington, FL; son-in-law, Steve Little and grandson Benjamin Little; in-laws Florence Scridon, Lawson Gibbons and Fran and George Cupples, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franks; brother, Frank Scridon; sisters, Mary Scridon and Jean Gibbons. A graveside service to inter her cremains will be held at a future date at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Temple Assembly of God, 711 NW 25 ^th St, Canton, Ohio 44709. The family gives heartfelt thanks to the Area Agency on Aging, Jim and Gigi (Scridon) Rossi, Patty Belluscio and Tammy Rogers for their loving care and assistance which allowed Eleanor to remain in her home until recently. She will be sadly missed by her family, her best friends, Dora Huff and Jane Richard, the members of TOPS and her Bethel Temple friends. God bless them for their care, love and prayers. Eleanor and her daughters appreciated all the people who attended her celebration of life party on her 90th Birthday, June 30 ^th .
