Eleni Stamatelopoulos, age 77 of North Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born in Stenosia, Greece on December 20, 1940 to the late Vasilios and Vasiliki Kalogeropoulos. Eleni was a Chef at the Flaming Pit and Brown Derby for 20 years, as she loved to cook. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and also loved gardening. Along with her parents, Eleni was preceded in death by her husband Mihail; sisters Maria Stamatelopoulos and Nikoletta Zeiler. She is survived by her children Vasilios (Parthena) Stamatelopoulos, John (Dionissia) Stamatelopoulos, and Kosta (Marie) Stamatelopoulos; five grandchildren Mihali, Yianni, Margarita, Aleyna and Adrianna. Also survived by brothers in Greece Theodoros (Evangelia) Kalogeropoulos and Andreas (Nikoletta) Kalogeropoulos; numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S, Greece and Germany. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the church, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
