Emanuel A. Karinos, age 91 of Canton, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born in Canton, on September 13, 1925, to the late Anthony and Anna Karinos. Emanuel was a graduate of McKinley High School, and also attended Kent State University. He was an Army veteran, serving in WWII; he was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, and worked for Morris Lincoln Mercury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother George Karinos, and sisters Mary Morakis and Fay Karinos. He is survived by his nephews Theodore Morakis and Anthony (Eleania) Morakis; great-nephews Michael and James Morakis; and great-niece Nicole (Frank) Baldino. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Gamvas officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Philoptochos Society.
