Ervin V. Valentine, age 94 of Canton, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was born in Canton on October 10, 1924 to the late John and Adeline Valentine. Ervin was U.S Army Veteran, serving our country in WWII. He later retired from Diebold, Inc. after 30 years. Along with his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris; son Mark Valentine; great-grandson Tyler; brother Herman Valentine; and sister Mafalda Simson. He is survived by his children Philip (Dori) Valentine of North Canton, John (Lora) Valentine of Huntsville, Alabama, and Damon Valentine of Akron. Also survived by brother Dino (Terri) Valentine; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at the Canton Regency and the nurses of Crossroads Hospice Care for their care; also a special thanks to Charletta Miller for supplying the best medicines of all - friendship, laughter, and love.
