Frank E. Abel, age 84 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was born in Mineral City, Ohio on March 2, 1938 to the late Ralph and Velma Abel. Frank retired from Iron Worker Local #550. He member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, the St. Haralabos Men's Club, and the Canton AHEPA Chapter 59.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Revecca Abel; daughter Debbie Abel; one brother; and four sisters. Frank is survived by his daughter Nikki Papoulides of Canton; grandchildren Joshua Teeple, Tasho Abel-Mohr, and Kosta Karelis; and cousin Pano Karelis.

Family and friends will be received at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin in the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
