FRANK S. WHITACRE, age 85 of Minerva, passed away Wednesday afternoon after a brief struggle with cancer. Born in Rinard's Mill, Ohio to the late John and Minnie (Rose) Whitacre, he was preceded in death by his step-son James Costello. Frank had worked at Schlemmer Buick for many years then Waikem Motors, as the Service Director, from where he retired. In 1984 he started Interstate Glass and worked until his passing. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Rae (Recchio) Whitacre, daughters Karen and Vicki, step-children Barbara (William) Thomas, Anthony (Johanna) Costello, Carol (Tim) Snyder, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and brother and sister-in-law Foster and Wilma Jean Whitacre of Rinard's Mill, Ohio. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 am till 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at noon with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish.
