GARY G. ANASTAS, age 61 Massillon, passed away Tuesday. He was a 1970 graduate of McKinley High School and Kent State University in 1974. He worked for the Hoover Company, Rubbermaid and retired from Rite Aid as a pharmacy tech. He is a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Preceded in death by his father Tasos Anastas, he is survived by his mother Martha (Boyajian) Anastas, uncle Frank Rizzo, aunt Lillian Boyajian, special cousins Cindy (John) Berbelis and Linda (Denny) Ellenberger and numerous cousins and second cousins. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with funeral services to follow at 11 am, Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 Fairhaven NW, Canton, OH 44709. As per Gary's wishes there will be NO MERCY MEAL following the burial. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Laurels and also Fr. Dan for his comforting words.
