GEORGE R. CHICK, age 88 of North Canton, passed away on April 13, 2015. Born in Canton, on April 13, 1927 to the late Joseph and Pasqualina (Borelli) Chick. He attended McKinley High School. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. George was a member of The Basilica of St. John the Baptist, The American Legion Post #436, and the N.A.F.E. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother Carmen, brother Angelo, and sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Neal Dine. He is survived by his sister Rose Marie Chick, sister-in-law Emma Chick, and two nieces and their spouses Patty and Jim Bissett, and Virginia and Darrell Manfull. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are called to the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday 6 to 8 pm, and Saturday from 9 to 10 am. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 am in the Rossi Chapel, with The Very Reverend Ronald M. Klingler, Rector, officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
