George N. Hatzakis, 76 of Canton, passed away after an extended illness. Born in Napoli, the Isle of Crete, Greece to the late Nicholas and Katina (Bourlas) Hatzakis. He's a 1958 graduate of Lehman High School, and he joined U.S. Marine Corp after graduation. He was a member of St. Haralambos & Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Churches, Senior Citizens Clubs, AHEPA Chapter #59, and the Pan-Cretan Society of America. He retired from John's Bar/Grill after 18 years as head chef. Survived by his wife, Peggy Hatzakis (married 49 years), daughter, P. Nicole Hatzakis, sister, Helen E. Esber, several God children, cousins and beloved grand doggie, Samsam. Calling hour on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Rev. Dr. Nicholas V.
