George Komas, 87, died peacefully in his home of natural causes on December 30, 2013. He was the son of the late Dionysius and Eleni Komas (Paschalis). He was a retired machinist for the E.W. Bliss Company. He is survived by his sister Anna Economou, nephew Steve Economou, Steve's wife Lydia, great nephews Nicholas and Andrew, great niece Sophia, god-daughter Tina Bolon (Guy), many god-children, and a multitude of loving and caring friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother Dimitrios. George was a lifelong resident of Canton and an avid outdoorsman. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Calling hours will be immediately before the funeral from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
