George G. Lambrou, age 76 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was born in Canton on May 3, 1941 to the late Gust and Maria (Theodorou) Lambrou. George was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School, and after attended Akron University. He worked for 26 years at the Stark County Engineers as a Building Maintenance Foreman. George was an avid reader of history, loved science fiction and a great handyman. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Tasia (Effantis); children Maria (James) Basham and Krissa (Chris) Olson; grandchildren Lennon Brooks and Malcolm Olson. Also survived by sister Claire (Popie) Kargadouris; mother-in-law Sopia Effantis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joanne and Bill Nicholas. A private funeral service has been held and interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Haralambos Building Fund or the Stark County Humane Society.
