Gerald "Jerry" F. Magisano, age 89 of Canton, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born in Canton on April 2, 1936 to the late Bruno and Anna Maria (Varano) Magisano. Jerry graduated in 1955 from Canton McKinley High School, where he played football. He later retired from Republic Steel after 42 ½ years of employment. He loved to travel and go fishing and hunting with his family. Jerry also enjoyed the many years he coached little league football.

Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son Bruno Magisano. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Carmela (D'Antonio) Magisano; son Anthony "Tony" (Ginny) Magisano; grandson Mike Stuber; brother Dr. Jim (Lois) Magisano; and brother-in-law Sam (Barb) D'Antonio.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aultman Compassionate Care Center, and to all of the friends and neighbors who have helped graciously in so many ways.

Private family services will be held. Jerry will be entombed near his son, Bruno, in Calvary Cemetery.
