Gerald "Jerry" W. Nemeth, age 72 of Jackson Township, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born in Canton on July 12, 1952 to the late George Nemeth, Sr. and Grace (Snodgrass) Nemeth. A graduate of Canton McKinley High School, he after received a full Division I Football Scholarship to Kent State University in 1970, where he played as an offensive guard, defensive tackle, and a "booming left footed" punter. He also attended Bowling Green University.

Jerry was a loyal employee of The M. Conley Company for over 40 years as a Senior Account Manager. He was a member of the Canton McKinley Booster Club, Canton McKinley Football Hall of Fame, the Fairmont Breakfast Club.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lora (Guidone) Nemeth; children Angela Nemeth-Casey, Joseph Nemeth, Samantha Nemeth-Heaton, and Michael (Natalie) Nemeth; grandchildren Thayne and Soliel Casey, Miles and Camille Nemeth, Edie, Audrey, and Liv Heaton, Louis, Nina, and Maya Nemeth. Also survived by brother George Nemeth, Jr.; special niece and family Amanda, Darrin, and Cooper Utynek; and cherished friends Nick Betro and Ross Vukovich

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Jerry.
