GRIGORIOS "GREGORY" D. SKOUMBRIS, age 53 of Lakewood passed away suddenly Tuesday. Born in Agia Irini, Cyprus he was preceded in death by his mother Eleni (Christodoulou) Skoumbris. A bridge painter, Gregory worked for C.L. Coatings. He is survived by his wife Christine (Costi) Skoumbris, his father Dimitrios Skoumbris, sisters Nitsa (Niko) Pavlou of Cyprus, Maria Mavromoustakas of Australia, brothers Niko and Christodoulos Skoumbris both of Cyprus, John (Maria) Skoumbris of Australia, Andreas (Georgia) Skoumbris of Cyprus, 15 nieces and nephews, 7 special and loved godchildren, father-in-law and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Andreas H. Costi, sister-in-law Maria Noussias, brother-in-law Dino (Dawn) Costi, aunts, uncles, cousins and all the very special friends that he cherished. Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 5 to 7 pm at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (4705 Fairhaven Ave. NW) in Canton with a Trisagion service to follow at 7 pm; Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Gregory will be laid to rest in his home country of Cyprus.
