Goldie C. Manos, beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, friend and faithful servant of her church, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday August 28.

Goldie was born in Tarpon Springs, Florida to the late Nicola and Paraskevi Christu. Goldie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mike of 48 years. They worked diligently at their business, Cavalon Drapery Cleaners and Glo-Tone Dry Cleaners, to make it a success.

Goldie is survived by her children and their families. Bill Manos (Lorraine) their children Zachary (Carly) and Millie; and daughter Alexa (Hattie). Patricia Yelicheck (George) their children Lauren Armatas (Phillip) their children Amalia, Gia and Dimitri. George Yelichek (Daisy) their children Elena, and Ariana. Elisa Schoeppner (the late John), her children Emma (Ann), Michael and Marisa. Also preceded in death were her sisters, Mary (Mike) Plakorus, Theodora (Tony) Economos, and her beloved brother and best friend Christo (Eva) Christu.

Goldie was a woman of tremendous energy, faith and devotion. A member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, she was involved with countless church activities and organizations though the years. Known affectionately as the “Energizer Bunny”, Goldie never seemed to slow down. She proudly sang in the St Haralambos Church choir for over 70 years, a remarkable testament to her love of music and faith. She was an active member and past president of the Ladies Philoptohos Society, The girls Canasta card club, and the St. Haralambos Silver Liners Seniors group.

She was a feisty and competitive tennis player, sometimes a winner but always the competitor. Her family and friends will remember her not only for everything she did but for the love and enthusiasm with which she did it.

Her memory will live in the hearts of her family and the many friends whose lives she touched during her extraordinary life.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12 noon at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 12 noon, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the St Haralambos choir or the St. Haralambos Hellenic Dancers.

Our family would like to thank the Inn at Belden and the Southern Care Hospice Service for such gentle and loving care of Goldies last moments on this earth.
