August 16, 1938 – January 21, 2024
Gust Eliadis age 85 of Canton, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024. Born in Canton to the late Elias and Sophia Eliadis, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Sherri Dunn, grandson Jack Dunn, and niece Rebecca Labowitz. He was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Gust was inducted into the Stark County Amateur Hall of Fame for Baseball. He was an avid golfer, one of the best in Stark County. Gust retired from the Timken Steel Company. He is survived by his son David (Vicki) Eliadis, grandchildren Brandon (Shelby) Eliadis, Graham (Nicole) Carlton, Sophia Dunn, great-grandchildren Liam Eliadis, Ethan Carlton, Thomas Carlton, sister Betty (Cyrus) Yaghooti, nephews Steve Adams, Jeffrey Labowitz, and great-nephew Nicholas Labowitz, and longtime girlfriend Pam Bukoffsky. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 9 to 10 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 10:00 am, Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
