Harry C. James departed this world on Monday, September 12, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born the oldest of two sons on June 9, 1959 in Canton, Ohio. Harry was preceded in death by his father, Theodore James, and mother, Helen James. Harry was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Parish in Canton.

Harry was a dedicated son and father. As the son of a Ford employee, he had an affinity for Ford cars, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Ohio State football. Harry was a staunch Democrat and a firm supporter of the UAW, which his father was a member of for 40 years. Harry enjoyed his work for the Stark County Board of Elections, and valued his role as caregiver for his mother.

He is survived by his sons Nick (Brandi), Alex (Katie), and Zach (Hailey), as well as his brother Doug (Kristi), nieces Caroline (Max) and Callie, and nephew Ryan. Harry was blessed to have three granddaughters, Collins, Vivian and Lydia, and one grandson, Elliott.

Family and friends will be received at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, September 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin in the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Special thanks to McKinley Healthcare Center, as well as Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital for their dedication and care of Harry. May his memory be eternal.
