Helen M. (Best) Adkins, age 74 of Canton, passed away Saturday. Born in Marietta, OH to the late Kenneth and Irene (Rinard) Best. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law John Digiantonio. Helen retired from Doctor's Hospital with over 20 years of service as a dietitian. She was an Avon sales lady for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 54 years David Adkins, children Mark Adkins, Tim (Jane) Adkins, Kimberly Digiantonio, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and brother Dannie (Esther) Best. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Louanne Zakaski officiating. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen's name may be made to the Salvation Army. The family would like invite all attending the funeral to join them for a bereavement dinner at Faith Bible Church (6655 Firestone Ave. NE, Canton) following the burial.
