Helen C. Boyd, age 96 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born in Canton on May 12, 1929 to the late Andrew and Josephine (Skoda) Busnick. A 1947 graduate of Lincoln High School, she later retired from Sear's after 40 years of employment. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Church. She was also a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Slovak Catholic Sokol, and the Slovak Home Club. Helen would always enjoy watching and cheering on the Cleveland Guardians and Cavaliers. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, seek-n-finds, knitting and crocheting; Grands and Greats received a special baby afghan. The neighborhood squirrels and birds have lost a great friend. Helen lived a good, long life and now may she rest in the peace that she so deserves.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Boyd; siblings Andrew Busnick, Mary Busnick, Elsie Pochubay, Julia Girtler, and Anna Hubicki; and great-grandson Noah.

Helen is survived by her children Charlie Boyd, Kathy (Todd) Figard, Karen (Nick) Hutnick, Rose (Rick) Croy, and Brenda (Calvin) Conners; grandchildren Tiffany (Dan), Kristina, Andrew (Chelsea), Jessica (Sean), Douglas, Kevin, Danielle, and Brianna; great-grandchildren Aniston, Lynn, Layla, Mekhi, and Maverick. Also survived by nieces and nephews Carl Busnick, Gail Keifer, Steve Girtler, Regina Brinkle, and Ramona Lashbrook; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m., with the Rosary beginning at 4:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
