Helen (Karagiannides) Karasarides, age 91 of Louisville, passed away peacefully Friday. Born in Elassona, Greece to the late Stavro and Barbara Karagiannides, she was preceded in death by her husband John Karasarides, brother Paul and sister Anastasia. Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Senior Citizens of the church. She is survived by her children Sophia Burlingame, Steven and Jennifer Karasarides, John and Shawn Karasarides, Barbara Hutchinson, six grandchildren; Stephanie Karasarides, Anthony (Kori) Burlingame, John Michael Karasarides, Linda Hutchinson, Anne and Aris Karasarides, four great-grandchildren, brothers Alex (Soula) Karaganides, Taso (Julie) Karaganides, sisters Nitsa Ioannides, and Christodoula Karipides. She also leaves special nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11:00, Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Private internment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen's name may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
