HELEN C. McCORD (Muccilli), age 94 of Canton, passed away after a brief illness Monday morning. Born in Canton, on October 16, 1920, to the late Liberato and Maria (DelRiccio) Muccilli. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Helen was a former employee of Diebold Inc., and for many years worked at Patrick's Ice cream stand. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tim DiSimone in 1946, and her second husband Jack W. McCord in 2000. Also preceded in death by four brothers, Angelo, Albert, Joe, and Ralph; two sisters Mary Simone and Catherine Rossetti. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Angela DiSimone of Lighthouse Pointe, FL; two daughters and son-in-laws, Carol and Chuck Riegler of Canton, and Marie and John Fehrenbach of Louisville. She is also survived by sister Fanny Muccilli, ten grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Helen's special friend, Linda Thomas, who took care of her. Also, a thank you to Home Instead Senior Care and Aultman Hospice. Family and friends will be received Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Msgr. Frank Carfagna as celebrant, and interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
