Irene Chagaros, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Born in Crete, Greece the youngest of 10 children, she immigrated to Canton with her husband Nicholas in 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas and daughter Effie. She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Stilianos and son Anthony Chagaros (Debbie), six grandchildren Nick (Dana) Stilianos, Steve (Anna) Stilianos, Dean Jr. (Karrah) Stilianos, Marissa (Chris) DeRosa, Nichole (Dean) Shelley, Anthony Jr. (Diana) Chagaros, and 12 great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will begin in the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. May her memory be eternal.
