Irene Gulley passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31, 2025. She was born September 12, 1928 to Leona Morris and George Marangakis. Her marriage to Harry Gulley on May 3, 1947 lasted 51 years until his passing February 26, 1999. That union graced them with four children, Anita, Harry (Butch), Jay and Terry.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Harry; sons Harry (Butch) and Jay; as well as 3 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Anita (John) Randolph of Massillon; son Terry (Darlene) Gulley of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Irene worked at Gervis's Brown Derby on West Tuscarawas until they closed, and later retired from Akron University as the cafeteria manager. She enjoyed her time after retirement working at the bakery counter at Panera Bread in Belden Village before they moved to the new location. She was a long time member of East Canton Church of God, The Polish Club of Canton and McKinley Eagles 2370. In her spare time, she loved to shop, play computer games, line dance and bake the best banana cream and lemon meringue pies.

Those who knew her will remember her for her stylish dressing and pristine hair. The family would like to send a huge thank you to Meadow Wind Health Care Center in Massillon, Ohio for making her stay a pleasant and loving atmosphere. Also, a huge thank you to Aultman Cardiac ICU for the compassionate and loving care they gave our mom and Nannan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 AM, East Canton Church of God, 201 East Nassau St., East Canton, Ohio with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.

Donations may be made, in Irene's name, to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Akron Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House. The Rossi Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
