Irene B. Perez, age 90 of Canton, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018. She was born in Belle Valley, Ohio on March 2, 1927 to the late Michael and Anna Harmon. Irene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the SOKOL organization. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Perez, and several brothers and sisters. Irene is survived by her children John (Linda) Perez of Canton, Barb Perez of Canton, Rebecca Perez of Columbus, and Patricia Fabynick of Canton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9 to 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit as celebrant. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the great staff at the Canton Christian Home for the professional and compassionate care they provided to Irene throughout her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to any Veterans organization of your choice.
